Humbalaya is a voracious Washington D.C. based band performing original melodious funk, rock, and jazz-fusion music in the DMV area. Rooted in the College Park, MD music scene, Humbalaya has amalgamated into one continuous stew of varied musical flavors. Each new member has added exciting sonic elements, and the result is a musical dish good enough for the whole family. At one point performing a soothing intimate ballade, at another drawing on high-energy funk grooves, Humbalaya will take you on a journey through many mystical music realms. 

 

Frequented in the DMV music scene, Humbalaya has performed at venues such as Union Stage, Pearl Street Warehouse, Songbyrd Music House, 8x10 (Baltimore, MD), and Cafe 611 (Frederick, MD), playing alongside acts such as Thumpasaurus, Will Wood and the Tapeworms, Higher Education, Natalie Brooke, Litz, and The Southern Belles.
